Vjosa | L'ultimo fiume selvaggio d'Europa (2026)

Vjosa | Europe's Last Wild River

An audio documentary exploring the ecosystem and cultural heritage of Europe's last big wild river: the Vjosa River, in Albania. Through field recordings, bioacoustics, and local testimonies, the project captures the fragile balance of a free-flowing ecosystem, weaving environmental conservation with the voices of the communities fighting to protect it.

Beyond its untouched nature, the documentary delves into the human dimension: the value of local communities, the potential of slow and sustainable tourism, and the contradictions of a nation pushing hard on the accelerator of economic growth. It reflects on the urgent need to avoid repeating the environmental mistakes already made elsewhere in Europe.

Borena | La terra senza pioggia (2024)

Borena | The Land with no rain

🏆 Winner of "Best Podcast" at the Italian Podcast Awards 2025

An audio documentary set in one of the world's main climate frontiers: a land where it hadn't rained for six years. The Borena region, in southern Ethiopia, reflects the extreme impacts of drought and the resilience of pastoralist communities fighting to preserve their way of life in one of Eastern Africa's most vulnerable ecosystems.

Guided by the voice of Valerio Nicolosi - an experienced journalist, photographer, and podcaster - the project offers a crucial reflection on environmental solidarity, climate justice, and community-led adaptation.
